LSD: Out-and-Back Camino del Rey

Event Details

A revised version of our favorite and flattest LSD routes. We’ll go north on the coast and take the San Luis Rey bike path east. From there, we’ll wind our way to scenic Camino del Rey.  But no Champagne.  We simply make a U-turn at the end of Camino Del Rey and head west.  Rest stop is the park bathrooms on the SLR Bike path.

63 miles/ 1,925′

LSD stands for Long Steady Distance. The goal is a steady state ride at B and C levels. That means staying in zone 2 on the flats and zone 3 on the little pitches … a conversation-paced ride. No surging or attacking.

  • Safety is always first. Each cyclist is responsible for following health and cycling safety guidelines as well as traffic laws.
  • Please download the route to your bike computer or know the route.
  • Helmets are required.
  • This is a ride for road bikes only (no aero, no e-bikes, no MTB)
