It’s late October and super hot days are hopefully behind us. It’s time to bring back our second flattest LSD route. This Sunday, we’ll go north on the coast and take the San Luis Rey bike path east. From there, we’ll wind our way to scenic Camino del Rey, Champagne, and Jesmond Dene. Then it’s back to Carlsbad!

LSD stands for Long Steady Distance. The goal is a steady state ride at B and C levels. That means staying in zone 2 on the flats and zone 3 on the little pitches … a conversation-paced ride. No surging or attacking.
