LSD Ride: San Clemente

Event Details

This Sunday, we’re going to San Clemente via Camp Pendelton. This route has the option to turn around at any point… Las Pulgas, the campgrounds, or do the whole thing! It’s up to you. If you do the whole route, the turn-around is Zebra Cafe in San Clemente (73 miles)

LSD rides start at Lofty Coffee, La Costa. In warm weather, we like to stop at Rouleur Brewing on the way back. Otherwise, we ride back to the start, where there are many post-ride food and beverage options.

Remember to bring your base pass if you prefer not to ride on the freeway!

LSD stands for Long Steady Distance. The goal is a steady state ride at B and C levels. That means staying in zone 2 on the flats and zone 3 on the little pitches … a conversation-paced ride. No surging or attacking.
