This Sunday, we’re going to San Clemente via Camp Pendelton. This route has the option to turn around at any point… Las Pulgas, the campgrounds, or do the whole thing! It’s up to you. If you do the whole route, the turn-around is Zebra Cafe in San Clemente (73 miles).
Remember to bring your valid base pass if you prefer not to ride on the freeway!
The goal is a steady state ride at B and C levels. That means staying in zone 2 on the flats and zone 3 on the little pitches … a conversation-paced ride. No surging or attacking.
