November Gravel Ride

Event Details

A few tips for this route:
Carefully cross Tamarack Ave train tracks at mile 16 by avoiding trains, cross traffic, hikers, dog walkers and cyclists who are not aware you are about to cross in front of them. Starting at mile 22, proceed with caution on Royal Rollercoaster – At the bottom of one of the final rollers is a rocky water crossing. At mile 25, If you feel this has been a hard enough ride, cut the ride short here by turning right on Cannon Road, then left on Faraday Ave, where you can rejoin the route at Veterans Park. Heads up, the regular route through the farm (miles 26 to 29) is steep and sandy at times. Mile 31 brings you to Veterans Park, make your way down and through the tunnel, careful down the stairs and look out for oncoming golf cart traffic! Follow the route across the bridge and turn right to the dirt and then climb out toward the resort east of Legoland. We work our way up hill in the dirt parallel to Aviara Parkway and behind North Coast Calvary Chapel. When going downhill on Poinsettia at mile 35 slow down or you will miss the right turn onto the next dirt section. The ride is nearly wrapped up with a fast dip through the dry San Marcos Creek Crossing at mile 39.
