Note the new route: Since June, we’ve been experimenting with a new route that avoids the curb stops that were installed on Melrose Ave. Although some of those have been removed, you’ve let us know that you like the new route more than the old one, so we’ve made it the official Social Ride route. We meet in front of Bird Rock Coffee and roll at 8:00 AM. You can expect a 2×2 conversational pace with a great bunch of nice people that include our new members as well as our longest-standing members. For safety, we’ll break into small groups when we get to the San Luis Rey bike path. Please know the route or load it to your GPS bike computer. We regroup at key points, but these are NOT no-drop rides.
- Safety is always first. Each cyclist is responsible for following cycling safety guidelines as well as traffic laws.
- Helmets are required.
- This is a ride for road bikes only (no aero, e-bikes or mountain bikes)
