Race Report: April 2018 Fiesta Island Time Trial

Swami’s Cycling Club made its presence felt at the April edition of the Fiesta Island Time Trials this past Saturday, headlined by Heather Bruemmer’s dominating performance in the women’s 35+ division. Heather, competing in her first ever time trial, completed the 20k course in 32:22.8 to secure the victory.

David Glazier made the podium with a time of 29:47.9 for 3rd place in the men’s Cat 4/5 20k race.

David Bruemmer finished 4th in the men’s 35+ event, despite competing on an injured ankle, while Jason Lee finished 5th with a new personal record of 29:37.6.

Dave Cynkin narrowly missed the podium in the men’s 45+ 20k event, finishing a half second out of 3rd place in 28:23.7. Craig Miller was right behind in 5th, with a personal record 28:33.9

The next edition of Fiesta Island Time Trials is set for September 9, so let’s get in a great summer of training, and cover the podiums at this iconic series with Swami’s blue!
